Course Overview

Falls are one of the most common causes of serious workplace injuries and fatalities. Even experienced workers face risks when proper safety procedures aren’t followed. This online working at heights safety course provides the knowledge and practical skills needed to recognize hazards, use fall protection correctly, and comply with Canadian safety regulations.

Learners will be introduced to the key risks of working at elevation, legal responsibilities, and the proper selection and use of fall protection systems. The course covers essential equipment such as anchors, connectors, and harnesses, along with how to inspect, maintain, and care for fall protection gear.

Participants will also gain an understanding of freefall and clearance requirements, safe tool handling at heights, and how to respond effectively in an emergency. Rescue procedures, including self-rescue and suspension trauma management, are also reviewed.
