The Fall Protection (Awareness) course is tailored to introduce you to the essential aspects of fall protection, aiming to equip you with the knowledge to identify and effectively use various fall protection systems at your disposal.
Height-based tasks often induce anxiety due to the inherent risk of falling. Fortunately, the implementation of fall protection systems can effectively mitigate and even eliminate such risks. This Fall Protection (Awareness) course aims to inculcate a comprehensive understanding of fall protection basics in you, thereby enabling you to identify and effectively use the various fall protection systems at your disposal.
The Fall Protection (Awareness) course encompasses the following topics:
- Fall hazards
- Fall protection systems
- Anchors
- Full body harnesses and their five classes
- Connecting hardware and devices
- Shock absorbers
- Maximum arrest force, free fall distance, and clearance
- Basic inspection and care requirements
- How to don a full body harness
- Fall protection plans and rescue planning
Estimated time of completion – 60 minutes
To successfully complete this course, each chapter must be passed with a minimum score of 70%. Each chapter can be attempted multiple times until the required score is achieved.
On successful completion of this online course, a certificate of completion will be readily available for download and print.
