Signal Person (CAN)

This Canadian-compliant safety course is designed specifically for signal persons. The training covers a variety of topics, such as an overview of the role, the setup of the work site, crane operations, and signalling. The course content meets the theoretical requirements for occupational safety instruction and includes a proficiency checklist for employers to conduct a practical assessment. Upon finishing the course, participants will be able to download and print a certificate or wallet card as evidence of completing the Signal Person training. IMPORTANT: Certification can only be conferred by an employer. The certification prerequisites may differ depending on the state or province. Please refer to local standards for any additional occupational training requirements.

COURSE OVERVIEW


Our Signal Person (CAN) training course is fully compliant with regulations, and our online delivery meets the requirements for theoretical training. Each module of the course covers general information, site preparation, crane operations, hand signals and case studies. During this Signal Person (CAN) training, we will discuss the necessary qualifications to become a signal person, how to safely navigate common signalling hazards, and general safety principles. We will conclude with case studies to help you understand how to apply your newly acquired knowledge, highlighting typical hazards and mistakes.
