This interactive online course, Traffic Control Persons for Construction (Flagger), is meticulously designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the methods, devices, and legal mandates for Traffic Control Persons operating in a road construction environment. It underscores the significance of donning the appropriate safety gear, effectively managing traffic across diverse construction circumstances, and the overarching safety and legal mandates. This course adheres to the Ontario Traffic Manual – Book 7 – Temporary Conditions (2022 edition) and OSHA Safety Standards (USA).
The Traffic Control Persons for Construction (Flagger) course is recognized in Alberta, but is not valid in BC where the course must be physically attended.
Participants from other provinces are advised to consult with their local Transport Authority and employer to confirm its validity.
This online Traffic Control Person – Temporary Conditions course covers the following topics:
Approximately 60 minutes
Assessments are undertaken throughout the course. The test questions are formulated to reinforce the information imparted and must be completed by each participant. A score of 80% is required to obtain a completion certificate. Participants who do not achieve the passing score on the first attempt are given TWO additional opportunities to retake the course.
Upon successful completion of the Traffic Control Persons for Construction (Flagger) course, participants can download and print a digital certificate of completion from the learning management system.
