Our course, Forklift - Fundamentals, has been tailored to equip workers with knowledge and understanding of the federal safety regulations needed for operating a forklift. The course, divided into five lessons, meets the formal-instruction requirements for forklift operator certification training and is designed to precede hands-on operator training and site-specific training. The regulations for forklift operation, also known as a powered industrial truck, are detailed in 29 CFR 1910. The course introduces fundamental information about operating a forklift, highlighting the differences between driving a forklift and a car, the most common hazards of operating a forklift, and the training prerequisites for forklift operation.

Testing conducted during this online course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A mark of 80% must be achieved to receive a certificate of completion. Participants are given the opportunity to retake the course twice if the pass mark is not achieved.
