APERÇU DU COURS

WHMIS 2025 is a comprehensive system used by suppliers, employers, and workers in Canada to effectively communicate and highlight the potential hazards associated with workplace products. This system is in line with the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS), a framework used by several countries globally.

In December 2022, the Hazardous Products Regulations (HPR) underwent amendments, ushering in changes to the earlier WHMIS 2015. To facilitate a smooth transition, Health Canada provided a 3-year transition period. By December 2025, all WHMIS users are required to adhere to the updated HPR.

The objective of this WHMIS course is to furnish you with a fundamental understanding of the system, inclusive of its general principles, worker safety measures, and notable updates.

The WHMIS 2025 course is divided into five key chapters:

  • Chapter 1: Introduction to WHMIS
  • Chapter 2: Recognizing Hazards and Classifying Products
  • Chapter 3: Understanding Labels
  • Chapter 4: Navigating Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
  • Chapter 5: Workplace Education and Training Essentials

The course includes interactive activities, self-evaluation questions, and a concluding examination.
