This complimentary 30-minute digital learning course, Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC): Basic Awareness Training, is carefully curated by leading infection control consultants and epidemiologists. It provides employees with insights into the spread of infections and the measures they can take to ensure their protection, as well as the safety of others, from infectious risks in their work settings.
Infectious risks, although often not visible to our eyes, can pose significant threats to our well-being. Such hazards can exist in any workplace setting. Recognizing and controlling these risks is a shared responsibility of employers, supervisors, and employees. It requires the same level of commitment as dealing with other health and safety hazards in the workplace.
Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC): Basic Awareness Training is a universally relevant course for workers from all industries within Ontario.
In this course, you will learn:
The essence of Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) and its significance
The mechanisms of infection transmission
Methods you and your colleagues can adopt to prevent and manage infections in your workplace
The course duration is approximately 30 minutes
