The Fall Protection (Alberta) course provides comprehensive guidance on the proficient use of fall protection gear and preparing for potential falls.

The Fall Protection (Alberta) course includes the following subjects:

• Identifying fall hazards
• Understanding different fall protection systems and their uses
• The legislative significance of fall protection
• Selecting appropriate anchors
• The role and functionality of full body harnesses
• The five categories of full body harnesses
• Standards for connecting hardware
• Different connecting devices and their applications
• The role and functionality of shock absorbers
• The risks associated with misuse of fall protection system components
• Understanding maximum arrest force
• Calculating free fall distance and clearance
• Essential inspection and maintenance requirements
• How to properly wear a full body harness
• Basic requirements for fall protection plans, rescue planning, and preventing suspension trauma

Estimation 3 heures

To pass this course, you need to score a minimum of 70% on each chapter. You can repeat each chapter as many times as needed to achieve the pass mark.

Upon successful completion of this online course, a certificate of completion will be available for download and printing. Please note that, in some jurisdictions, additional practical evaluation on equipment may be required to ensure regulatory compliance.

This course qualifies for Gold Seal Certification Credits from the Canadian Construction Association:
