Our HAZWOPER training program aims to emphasize on the variety of emergencies that can occur on site, the elements of an Emergency Response Plan (ERP), the process of responding to a hazardous substance emergency release, the roles of employees during such an emergency, and the importance of effective communication both internally and externally during a crisis.

Additionally, the course delves into the fundamentals of decontamination and explores a variety of methods and equipment used in the decontamination process.

By the culmination of this course, you will have acquired the ability to:

• Recognize various emergency situations that can arise on hazardous waste sites
• Understand the necessary components of an emergency response plan
• Distinguish between the various levels of emergency response personnel
• Appreciate the need for a detailed evacuation plan
• Implement preventive measures to avoid contamination
• Identify different forms of contamination and decontamination methods
• Understand the usage of equipment and facilities during the decontamination process
• Follow emergency decontamination procedures

Environ 90 minutes

This online course employs testing throughout to reinforce the presented material. A score of 80% must be achieved for successful completion. Participants are allowed three attempts to reach the pass mark. A comprehensive student manual is available for download and printing, serving as a valuable reference for future use and knowledge retention.

Upon successful completion of this online HAZWOPER course, a certificate of completion will be readily available for download and printing.
