Arsenic Awareness (US)
In accordance with OSHA, employees exposed to arsenic at or above specific levels require training in handling inorganic arsenic. The Arsenic Awareness course elucidates potential health risks associated with inorganic arsenic and strategies to mitigate or eliminate exposure leading to these health risks.
In line with OSHA’s requirements, training is necessary for employees exposed to arsenic above a particular threshold. This Arsenic Awareness course aims to enlighten learners on the potential health hazards linked to inorganic arsenic, while also providing methods to decrease or completely eliminate the risk of such exposure.
The online Arsenic Awareness course encompasses the following areas of study:
- Exposure to Hazards
- EPI
- Regulated Areas
- Staying Safe
At the conclusion of this course, participants will have gained an understanding of:
- Health hazards of arsenic
- Permissible exposure limit (PEL)
- Personal protective equipment (PPE)
- The location of regulated areas
- Signs and labels
- Engineering controls
- Medical surveillance
- Entretien ménager
Estimated to take 20 minutes
Continuous testing throughout this online course aims to reinforce the lessons learned. A minimum score of 80% is required to pass this course. Learners have up to three attempts to reach the passing grade. A detailed student manual, which can be printed, is provided as a valuable reference for future use and for retaining the knowledge gained.
Upon successful completion of this online Arsenic Awareness course, participants will be able to download and print a certificate of completion.
