    Throughout various workplaces in Canada, slips, trips, and falls on the same level are regrettably frequent. However, with the right knowledge and practices, we can prevent these incidents. Our Slips, Trips, and Falls course online provides key insights on how to protect guests, clients, and staff from injuries caused by slips, trips, and falls.

    This Slips, Trips, and Falls online course is divided into four informative chapters:

    • Chapter 1: Understanding the Physics of Walking and Falling
    • Chapter 2: Measures to Prevent STFL
    • Chapter 3: Techniques to Fall Safely and Addressing STFL Injuries
    • Chapter 4: Legal Obligations and Responsibilities

    Upon completion, you will take a final assessment to verify your knowledge gained.

    Knowing how slips, trips, and falls happen is key to preventing them. By the end of this course, you should be able to:

    • Describe how center of gravity, momentum, and traction contribute to workplace slips, trips, and falls
    • Spot common workplace hazards that may cause slips, trips, and falls
    • Suggest both immediate and long-term solutions for the identified hazards
    • Explain the duties of workers and employers concerning a proactive workplace safety culture
    • Demonstrate how to fall in the safest manner to prevent or minimize injury
    • Explain the appropriate response when witnessing a co-worker, visitor, or customer experiencing a slip, trip, or fall
    • Clarify the legal ramifications related to slips, trips, and falls in the workplace

    Note de passage

    A passing grade of 80% is required to receive a certificate of completion for the Slips, Trips and Falls online course. Participants have the opportunity to retake the course twice if the pass mark is not achieved.
