Sécurité des ponts roulants

The Overhead Crane Safety Training course prepares workers to operate and work around overhead cranes with confidence by strengthening their understanding of safe practices, equipment limits, and effective communication. Because risks can appear at any point during crane operation, the course walks learners through essential topics such as equipment components, inspection procedures, safe load handling, and strategies to prevent incidents caused by unclear or incorrect signals.

Overhead Crane Safety

Aperçu du cours

This training program gives workers the knowledge needed to maintain a safer jobsite wherever overhead cranes are present. Hazards can occur before, during, or after a lift, so the course offers a practical look at crane parts, how to perform reliable daily and scheduled inspections, and how to execute lifting tasks safely and efficiently.

Learners will also explore the importance of regular maintenance, the role of operator awareness, and how continuous training contributes to a safer environment. By the end of the course, participants will have a stronger understanding of how to identify issues early, apply correct operating techniques, and communicate clearly using standard hand signals.

After completing this course, learners will be able to:

  • Distinguish between common overhead crane types and their typical uses

  • Explain why routine inspections and maintenance activities are essential

  • Understand the value of ongoing crane safety training

  • Complete pre-operation inspections with accuracy and confidence

  • Identify possible equipment faults and reduce the chance of failure

  • Support a safer operational area for crane operators and nearby workers

  • Use recognized hand signals to improve clarity during lifting operations

Sujets de cours

This training covers a full range of foundational crane safety subjects, including:

  • Introduction to overhead crane classifications
