Industrial Safety Orientation

This digital Industrial Safety Orientation course adheres to the legal requirements of BC, Alberta, and Saskatchewan, and provides an introduction to basic hazard detection, assessment, and management.

Industrial Safety Orientation

APERÇU DU COURS

The Industrial Safety Orientation program satisfies legislative worker orientation requisites for BC, Alberta, and Saskatchewan (in line with the latest GSO Guideline). It introduces attendees to the fundamental concepts of hazard identification, assessment, and mitigation. The course explores typical industry hazards and outlines the anticipated responsibilities of employees and employers in relation to hazard management. The training also addresses industry and organizational expectations, including the right to refuse and adherence to drug and alcohol policies, as well as a summarised overview of relevant legislative provisions.

While it is impractical to encompass all potential workplace hazards, the Industrial Safety Orientation course aims to fulfill the new GSO Guideline, key legislative requirements, Certificate of Recognition (COR) audit criteria, and frequent pre-qualification components. The Industrial Safety Orientation can also satisfy client-specific prerequisites and can be acknowledged as an alternative to CSTS and PST provided the training is administered by a qualified Certified Orientation Instructor who has successfully completed IMPACT’s Certified Orientation Instructor program.

The core message of this safety and health orientation program is the need for every individual, irrespective of their job or rank, to take ownership of their own safety and the safety of their colleagues. This Industrial Safety Orientation training should be provided to all employees and can be integrated with existing company-specific orientations.
