Hot Work with Arc Welding is a term that encapsulates any activity that involves the use of open flames, the production of sparks, or has the potential to ignite a fire through other means. This usually encompasses tasks like welding, cutting with a wheel or torch, brazing, soldering, and grinding, among others. Given the unique blend of safety and health risks posed to workers during such tasks, a comprehensive set of controls is essential. Fortunately, adherence to appropriate procedures and the use of established controls can significantly mitigate these risks.

Testing conducted throughout this digital course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A score of 80% must be achieved in order to receive a certificate of completion. Users are allowed to retake the course twice if the pass mark is not achieved.
