Forklift – Fundamentals

Our course, Forklift - Fundamentals, has been tailored to equip workers with knowledge and understanding of the federal safety regulations needed for operating a forklift. The course, divided into five lessons, meets the formal-instruction requirements for forklift operator certification training and is designed to precede hands-on operator training and site-specific training. The regulations for forklift operation, also known as a powered industrial truck, are detailed in 29 CFR 1910. The course introduces fundamental information about operating a forklift, highlighting the differences between driving a forklift and a car, the most common hazards of operating a forklift, and the training prerequisites for forklift operation.

COURSE OVERVIEW

The Forklift – Fundamentals course is specifically structured to provide workers with an understanding of the federal safety regulations required for forklift operation. Testing conducted during this online course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A mark of 80% must be achieved to receive a certificate of completion. Participants are given the opportunity to retake the course twice if the pass mark is not achieved.
