Working Alone
Our online course, Working Alone, is devised to impart the essential skills and knowledge to manage hazards related to working alone and to address incidents that involve solo workers.
The Working Alone online course is tailored for individuals who may find themselves working alone or those who may oversee employees in solo work situations. The course content provides comprehensive knowledge and skills to help you identify and manage potential risks when working alone. Additionally, it will guide you on how to react to incidents that involve employees who work alone.

The Working Alone course could be eligible for 0.2 CEU pour le BConseil d'administration Ccanadien Renregistré SSécurité PProfessionnels (BCRSP) – CSuite PProfessionnel Development Program (CPD Program) for the purpose of recertification in maintaining the BCRSP certification. The Working Alone online course includes the following topics:
- The term working alone
- Working alone legislation
- Typical working alone situations
- Hazard assessments
- Working alone hazard controls
- Contact frequency
- Manual and automatic contact devices
- Best practices for typical working alone situations
Upon successful completion, the Working Alone course can provide 0.2 BCRSP CEUs.
The course takes about 2 hours to complete.
A score of 80% is required to pass this course. You can attempt the course thrice to achieve the passing score.
On successful completion of the Working Alone online course, a certificate of completion will be ready for download and print. We recommend re-taking the course every three years from the date of completion indicated on the certificate.
