This Tugger (OSHA) course offers safety training that complies with OSHA standards, specifically for tugger operators. It covers essential aspects such as equipment anatomy and inspection, safe operations, and potential hazards. This course meets the classroom requirement for occupational safety training and includes a proficiency checklist for employers to conduct a practical evaluation. Upon completion, learners will be able to download and print a certificate or wallet card as proof of their Tugger training. NOTE: Certification can only be granted by an employer, and requirements may vary by state or province. Local standards should be checked for any additional occupational training requirements.

APERÇU DU COURS

This Tugger (OSHA) training course complies with regulations, and our online iteration meets classroom training prerequisites.
Our curriculum includes sections on equipment anatomy and inspection, safety measures, and prevalent hazards.

Throughout the course, learners will encounter intermittent quiz questions to prepare for the concluding written examination. Alongside the written test, the course includes a checklist for employers to facilitate a practical exam as mandated by OSHA.

While it’s essential to acquaint yourself with all relevant federal, state, and local standards, this Tugger training encompasses the following laws and regulations:

  • 29 CFR 1910.178 – Powered Industrial Trucks
  • ANSI/ITSDF  B56.8 – Safety Standard for Personnel and Burden Carriers
  • NFPA 505 – Fire Safety Standard for Powered Industrial Trucks
  • UL 583 – Standard for Safety for Electric-Battery-Powered Industrial Trucks
  • OSHA Act of 1970, 5(a)(1) – General Duty Clause
