This Steel Erection – Construction course is compliant with the following regulations:

• 29 CFR 1910 Subpart D – Walking-Working Surfaces – 1910.1910.22 General Requirements

• Recognize common hazards in steel erection and learn about the necessary precautions for ensuring safety during steel erection activities

• Understand the safety measures required when operating hoisting equipment such as cranes and derricks

• Enumerate the guidelines for ensuring worker safety and structural stability throughout the steel erection process

• Discuss the risks related to column stability, specifically the correct use of anchor rods or bolts to assure column stability

• Cover the general guidelines for steel joist erection and how to safeguard yourself from the most hazardous tasks during joist erection

• Understand the protocols for safely erecting systems-engineered metal buildings

• Explain the specific fall protection measures applicable to steel erection activities
