The course begins by explaining what propane is, its unique properties, and its common workplace and household applications. Learners will then explore vapour and liquid withdrawal systems, identifying their parts and functions for safe refuelling and handling.
Because propane safety is governed by Canadian law, participants will review the CSA Code, the TDG Act, WHMIS standards, and the CEPA. These rules provide the framework for preventing risks and protecting people and the environment.
Training also covers safe transportation and storage of propane cylinders, daily inspection routines, and proper connection or disconnection methods.
