Productive Communication Conflict Management

This Productive Communication Conflict Management Course offers a systematic guide to managing conflict through a range of communication and emotion management strategies, paving the way for effective handling of challenging situations. The course explores the destructive nature of conflict and the long-term detrimental effects of the 'Low-Road' approach on both professional and personal relationships. Alternatively, it introduces the 'High-Road' method, a mechanism to manage emotions during a conflict.

Productive Communication Conflict Management

COURSE OVERVIEW

The challenge of enforcing norms and managing conflict in the professional world can be daunting. This Productive Communication Conflict Management Course equips you with the tools to resolve disputes respectfully and foster cooperation, using disciplinary measures as a last resort.

Through video animations infused with humor, we present scenarios of individuals in workplace settings who are not at their best. Characters, Janine and Kalm Kristin, navigate you through their experiences using a systematic approach to manage conflict. This approach utilizes a variety of communication and emotion management strategies. Practical demonstrations of the communication methods instill in you the confidence to defuse situations and encourage voluntary compliance in challenging circumstances.

The course will guide you in understanding what fuels destructive conflict, and how the ‘Low-Road’ approach can cause lasting damage to your professional or personal relationships. The ‘High-Road’ method, a core part of the Productive Communication Conflict Management course, empowers you to manage your emotions and overcome your fears both before and during a conflict situation. The strategies are grounded in psychological, sociological, and communication research.

While this program is designed for all, it places particular emphasis on the enforcement of workplace policies, rules, procedures, and legislation, making it especially beneficial for those in leadership or supervisory roles.
