The Opioids and Fentanyl Safety and Awareness Training course equips learners with the knowledge needed to understand opioid risks and respond to overdose emergencies. With opioid-related incidents affecting communities across Canada, awareness and preparedness have become essential components of modern workplace safety programs.
This online training provides a clear explanation of opioids, their historical development, and their effects on the human body. Participants will also examine the opioid crisis in Canada and learn practical response techniques, including recognizing overdose symptoms and administering naloxone safely.
The opioid crisis continues to impact workplaces, communities, and public spaces across Canada. Many employees and supervisors may encounter opioid-related incidents without realizing it, especially in industries with public interaction or high-risk environments.
Without proper knowledge, individuals may struggle to recognize overdose symptoms or act during an emergency. Training in opioid overdose recognition and naloxone response helps individuals react quickly and confidently when every second matters. After completing this opioid safety awareness training, learners will be able to:

Learners must achieve a minimum score of 80%. Participants are allowed three attempts before the course must be reassigned.
