The goal of our Occupational Disease course is to equip participants with a comprehensive understanding of the potential hazards present in various work environments.

APERÇU DU COURS

The Occupational Disease course is crafted to enlighten participants about the possible risks stemming from diverse occupational exposures. It explores a range of professions including Firefighters, Equipment Operators, Labourers, among others. By the end of this Occupational Disease course, learners will gain insight into the origins of the most common occupational diseases and the strategies employed to identify and mitigate these risks.

The online Occupational Disease course delves into the following subject matter:

  • Historical perspective of occupational disease
  • Prevalent types of occupational disease
  • The role and significance of occupational hygiene
  • Origins and categorization of occupational diseases
  • Typical pathways for contaminants to enter the body
  • Duties and obligations related to controlling occupational diseases
  • Control hierarchy for workplace contaminants
  • Procedures for reporting occupational diseases
  • Management of occupational diseases

This course spans 2.5 technical hours.

Potential eligibility for 0.25 CEUs from the BConseil d'administration Ccanadien Renregistré SSécurité PProfessionnels (BCRSP) – CSuite PProfessionnel Development Program (CPD Program) for the purpose of recertification in maintaining the BCRSP certification. A total of 150 minutes is required to complete the course.

CERTIFICAT DE RÉALISATION

Upon successfully finishing this online course, a certificate of completion will be available for download and printing. It is recommended that this Occupational Disease course be retaken every 3 years from the course completion date as stated on the certificate.
