Upon successful completion of the Laser Safety course, you should be able to:

• Articulate the objectives and components of a laser safety program and the significance of adhering to laser safety guidelines
• Recognize the various types of lasers utilized in labs and makerspaces and understand the risks they pose
• Detail administrative and engineering measures that can diminish the hazards of laser operation
• Identify operational practices and procedures that may lessen the dangers associated with laser usage

Environ 30 minutes

Testing conducted throughout this online course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to receive a certificate of completion. Participants are able to repeat the course twice if the pass mark is not achieved.

Upon successful completion of the Laser Safety course, a certificate of completion will be available for download and printing.
