This course offers comprehensive safety training compliant with OSHA regulations for boom truck operators. It covers essential aspects such as anatomy, stability, safe operations, and common hazards. Completing this course fulfills the theoretical requirement for occupational safety training. The course also comes with a proficiency checklist for employers to use for practical evaluation. Upon completion, participants can download and print a certificate or wallet card as proof of their completion of the Boom Truck OSHA Training. NOTE: Only an employer can certify an employee. Certification requirements can vary by state or province. Please check local standards for any additional occupational training requirements.

Our Boom Truck Safety Training course is fully compliant with regulations, and our online version meets the theoretical training requirements. Each module of the course includes sections on anatomy, stability, rigging, safe operations, and common hazards related to the Knuckle Boom Crane (Articulating Crane) – OSHA.

As part of the course, participants will encounter intermittent quiz questions for practice, preparing them for the final written exam. Alongside the written exam, this course provides a checklist for employers to use when conducting a practical exam as required.

While you’ll still need to familiarize yourself with all other relevant federal, state, provincial, territorial, and local standards, this training covers the following standards for boom trucks:

•    29 CFR 1926.180 – Crawler, Locomotive, and Truck Cranes
•    29 CFR 1926.1400 – Cranes and Derricks
•    ASME B30.5 – Mobile and Locomotive Cranes
•    ASME B30.22 – Articulating Boom Cranes
