This Canada-compliant safety course, Intro to Rail Yard Safety (CAN), is designed for individuals working in or around a railway yard. The course encompasses safety measures, operations on the rail, proximity with machinery, and communication protocols. This program fulfills the classroom training requirement for job safety and includes a proficiency checklist for employers to assess practical skills. After completion, certificates or wallet cards can be downloaded and printed as proof of successful completion of the Intro to Rail Yard Safety (CAN) course. Intro to Rail Yard Safety (CAN)

APERÇU DU COURS


Our Intro to Rail Yard Safety (CAN) course complies with OSHA standards, and our virtual version meets OSHA’s classroom instruction requirements. The course is divided into sections that cover the following aspects:

  • Opérations sécuritaires
    • Équipement de Protection Individuelle (EPI)
  • Operations On the Rails
  • Working Near Machinery
    • Operating On, Inside, or Under
      Équipement
    • Blue Flag Regulations
  • Communication Methods
    • Use of Flags

The course includes practice quiz questions at regular intervals to prepare for the final written test. Apart from the written test, the course also provides a checklist for employers to use when conducting a practical examination as mandated by OSHA.

Approximate Course Duration: The time taken to complete this training varies as everyone learns at their own pace. However, the estimated time for this course is 1.5 – 2 hours.
