The 'Intro to Industrial Hygiene (OSHA)' training is an OSHA-compliant course designed for individuals who work in close proximity to hazardous chemicals or materials that can potentially pose health risks. This course covers anticipation, recognition, evaluation, controls, and the industrial hygiene program. It fulfills the classroom obligation for occupational safety training. A proficiency checklist is also included for employers to conduct practical evaluations. Upon successful completion, trainees can download and print a certificate or wallet card as evidence of their training in Industrial Hygiene. Remember, only an employer can officially certify an employee. Certification requirements may differ across states or provinces. Please consult local standards for any additional occupational training requirements.
The ‘Intro to Industrial Hygiene (OSHA)’ training is fully compliant with regulations, and its online version meets the requirements of classroom training. The course features segments on the anticipation, recognition, evaluation, and control of hazards, as well as the industrial hygiene program.
The focus of this training is on the application of industrial hygiene principles in day-to-day work settings. It will shed light on how hygienists anticipate risks and identify existing hazards at the workplace. Discussions will also revolve around how hygienists and workers can determine the extent of a specific hazard and discover control methods. Moreover, we will examine the components of a robust industrial hygiene program. At the end of the training, we will analyze some case studies that underscore the risks of neglecting industrial hygiene principles.
This training incorporates intermittent practice quiz questions to gear up for the final written examination included with the course. Besides the written exam, this course provides an employer checklist to conduct OSHA-required practical exams.
