This module, ‘First Aid – Soft Tissue Injuries’, imparts knowledge on the correct response to trauma-related soft tissue injuries. These include lacerations, bleeding, punctured skin, impaled objects, burns, and electrical injuries.

Upon successful completion of this course, you are expected to:

  • Understand the correct response to soft tissue injuries such as lacerations, punctured skin, impaled objects, bleeding, and severe hemorrhage.
  • Identify the severity of a burn and know how to respond to victims enduring from minor, major and chemical burns.
  • Know how to assist a victim who has suffered an electrical injury.
