This course aims to enhance employees' understanding of Ethics, highlighting the significance of an Ethics program, specific ethical standards, the obligation to abide by these standards, potential consequences of non-compliance, and appropriate ways to express ethical concerns and seek further advice.

APERÇU DU COURS

Our Ethics course is designed to deepen employees’ understanding of the importance of an Ethics program, familiarize them with specific ethical standards, and clarify their obligation to adhere to these standards. We also aim to shed light on the potential consequences of non-compliance and provide guidance on how to properly voice ethical concerns and seek further advice. The course further includes an analysis of the application of ethics principles through pertinent case studies.

By the end of this Ethics course, participants should gain a comprehensive understanding of:

  • The concept of ethics, the raison d’être of an Ethics program, and its salient features.
  • How to pinpoint ethical standards relating to fairness and honesty, accurate record-keeping, treatment of fellow employees, political contributions, and financial standards such as time charging and preservation of company assets.
  • How to identify potential conflicts of interest and ethical standards governing the giving and receiving of gifts, gratuities, and entertainment in both government and non-government sectors.
  • The various laws, acts, and practices related to ethics in the workplace.
  • The obligation to adhere to ethical standards, report suspected violations, the potential disciplinary actions for non-compliance, and the procedures for raising ethical concerns and seeking further advice.
  • How to apply the principles of ethics in real-life scenarios, as demonstrated through case studies.

Testing conducted throughout this online Ethics course is designed to reinforce the information provided. A score of 80% must be achieved to earn a certificate of completion. Participants have the option to retake the course twice if the pass mark is not achieved.
