There is an extensive use of lifting tools such as hydraulic jacks, cranes and truck hoists in various work settings. As these tools are frequently used and generally reliable, it can be easy to overlook the fact that any lifting tool carries a risk of failure. If a person is under a load when a failure occurs, the result can be serious injury or even death. Hence, it is imperative that raised equipment is adequately blocked or cribbed. The Blocking and Cribbing course is tailored to impart fundamental principles of blocking and cribbing safety and showcase how these principles are put into practice. This course is specifically designed for individuals who work with heavy equipment or those who carry out blocking and cribbing tasks.

The course duration is approximately 20 minutes
Testing is conducted throughout this online course to reinforce the knowledge acquired. A minimum score of 80% is required to pass this course. Participants can attempt the course three times to achieve the pass mark.
