Biological Hazards (OSHA)

This course is a safety training program designed for individuals who may come in contact with biological hazards, and is compliant with OSHA regulations. It provides comprehensive information on a range of biological hazards including microorganisms, fungi, plants, insects, and animals. This course satisfies the classroom training requirement for occupational safety. It also incorporates a proficiency checklist for employers to conduct practical evaluations. Upon finishing the course, trainees can download and print a certificate or wallet card to demonstrate their completion of the Biological Hazards training. NOTE: Only an employer can certify an employee. Certification requirements may differ by state or province. Check with local authorities for any further occupational training requirements.

APERÇU DU COURS

The Biological Hazards safety training course we offer is OSHA compliant, and our online version meets OSHA’s classroom training prerequisite. The course comprises sections on various biological hazards including microorganisms, fungi, plants, insects, animals, etc. This course also features periodic practice quiz questions to help prepare for the final written examination included in the course. Alongside the written test, this course provides a checklist for employers to use for conducting a practical exam as stipulated by OSHA.

Estimated Training Duration: The duration of this training can vary as individuals learn and progress at different paces. However, the estimated time to complete this training is between 1.5 and 2 hours.

  • OSHA 29 CFR 1910 Subsection J – General Environmental Controls
  • OSHA 29 CFR 1910 Subsection Z – Toxic and Hazardous Substances
  • OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1200 – Hazard Communication
  • OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134 – Fit Testing Procedures
  • OSHA 29 CFR 1910.141 – Sanitation
  • OSHA 29 CFR 1910.151 – Medical and First Aid
