Through the Air Emissions Management course, learners will understand the objectives and aims of the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990, comprehend the critical definitions related to National Ambient Air Quality Standards of Title I, and pinpoint the regulations for limiting Hazardous Air Pollutants as outlined in Title III. Additionally, learners will comprehend the role of Operating Permits as outlined in Title V, and the procedures included in the air permitting process.

  • The objectives and aims of the Clean Air Act Amendments (CAAA) of 1990.
  • Regions of attainment and nonattainment as per the Clean Air Act.
  • Requirements for compliance, including National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS), degrees of nonattainment, major source, Criteria Air Pollutants, and New Source Performance Standards.
  • Regulations for attainment and maintenance of National Ambient Air Quality Standards.
  • Regulations for limiting Hazardous Air Pollutants.
  • Requirements for compliance, including Hazardous Air Pollutants, Maximum Air Control Technology, and Risk Management Planning, and NESHAPS.
