ICC Security Awareness (49 CFR)
WB-SEC10R Ensuring the Safeguarding of Hazardous Materials Transportation in the US Under 49 CFR, Part 172.704, mandatory security awareness training is required for all employees handling hazardous materials. This concise, yet comprehensive online course fulfills this requirement.
In accordance with 49 CFR, Part 172.704, the ICC Security Awareness (49 CFR) course necessitates all employees dealing with hazardous materials to undergo security awareness training. Employers are obligated to make sure that their employees are trained within 90 days of their employment date and are required to undertake refresher training every three years.
As stipulated in 49 CFR 172.704(e): “Each employee dealing with hazardous materials must undertake training that ensures an understanding of the security risks involved in transporting hazardous materials and the methods to boost the security of this transportation.”
THE 49 CFR REGULATIONS ARE MANDATORY FOR COMPLETION OF THE ICC SECURITY AWARENESS (49 CFR) TRAINING.
This concise, yet comprehensive online module, which is the ICC Security Awareness (49 CFR) training, fulfills the training stipulations of 49 CFR 172.704(e). It incorporates an assessment to verify understanding and demonstrate evidence of successful training.

Testing carried out in this online course aims to reinforce the material taught. A certificate is available for download and print upon achieving 80% or above (within 5 attempts) on the assessment. All necessary supplementary materials for this course can be accessed online.
