Hot Work with Arc Welding is a term that encapsulates any activity that involves the use of open flames, the production of sparks, or has the potential to ignite a fire through other means. This usually encompasses tasks like welding, cutting with a wheel or torch, brazing, soldering, and grinding, among others. Given the unique blend of safety and health risks posed to workers during such tasks, a comprehensive set of controls is essential. Fortunately, adherence to appropriate procedures and the use of established controls can significantly mitigate these risks.
