This safety training course is designed for boom truck operators in Canada. It covers important areas such as crane anatomy, stability principles, safe operation techniques, and common safety hazards. This course fulfills the theoretical training requirements for occupational safety. It also incorporates a handy checklist for employers to conduct practical evaluations. Once completed, participants can download and print a certificate or wallet card as proof of their training in Canada Boom Truck operation. Please note: The final authority to certify an employee rests with the employer. Certification prerequisites may differ across states or provinces. Please refer to local regulations for any additional occupational training requirements.

APERÇU DU COURS

Our Knuckle Boom Crane (Articulating Crane) – CAN Safety Training course is designed to comply with regulations, and our online module satisfies all theoretical training prerequisites. The course comprises segments on crane anatomy, stability principles, rigging, safe operation procedures, typical hazards, and more.

Intermittent practice quizzes are included within the course to help prepare for the final written test. Along with the written test, this course provides a checklist for employers to facilitate the required practical examination.

While it’s still necessary to familiarize yourself with all other relevant federal, state, provincial, territorial, and local standards, this training covers the following standards for boom trucks:

•    CAN/CSA-Z150-11 – Safety Code on Mobile Cranes

•    CAN/CSA – Z150.3-11 – Safety Code on Articulating Boom Cranes

•    CAN/CSA – C22.2: Safety code for Material Hoists

•    ISO 16715:2014 – Hand Signals used with Cranes

•    ASME B30.5 – Mobile and Locomotive Cranes

•    ASME B30.22 – Articulating Boom Cranes
