Walkie Stacker (CAN)

This is a training course designed to meet Canada's safety regulations for walkie stacker operators. The course covers essential topics such as equipment anatomy and inspection, safety procedures, and identification of common hazards. It fulfills the classroom requirement for occupational safety training and includes an employer's checklist for practical evaluations. Upon completion, participants can download and print a certificate or wallet card demonstrating they have undergone Canada Walkie Stacker training. Note: Only an employer can officially certify an employee. Certification requirements may differ from state to state or province. APERÇU DU COURS

This OSHA-compliant training course for walkie stackers caters to the classroom training requirement of OSHA.

Training Scope: The course provides the following essential information:

  • Equipment Anatomy & Inspection
  • Procédures de sécurité
    • Understanding Your Machine
    • Worksite Familiarity
  • Identification of Common Hazards

The course also includes practice quizzes intermittently to prepare the trainees for the final written exam. Employers also receive a checklist to use during the practical exam as mandated by OSHA.

Estimated Training Duration: As the learning pace differs for everyone, the training duration may vary. However, it is estimated to be between 1 to 1.5 hours.

Course Goals:

  • Understand the necessity and procedure of a pre-shift inspection
  • Comprehend the components and functions of walkie stackers
  • Identify common hazards associated with walkie stackers and how to prevent or mitigate them

CEUs:

  • To earn CEUs, the course must be completed, and the final exam passed with a minimum score of 80%.
  • This course contributes 0.2 CEUs.

Standards:

You are required to familiarize yourself with all relevant federal, state, and local standards. This training course covers the following OSHA standards for Motor Graders:

  • CAN/CSA-B335-04 – Lift Trucks Safety Standard
  • CAN/CSA-B335-94 – Lift Truck Operator Training
  • ANSI/ITSDF B56.1 – Safety Standard for Low Lift & High Lift Trucks
