The course, Electrocution Hazards Part I Worksite Safety, aims to educate employees about the fundamental safety measures to be adopted when working around electrocution hazards. By the end of the course, participants should: Comprehend that electricity is responsible for numerous deaths and injuries in the construction sector each year, realize that majority of electrical injuries are preventable, be aware of the federal standards designed to shelter them from electrical hazards and electrocution, and be equipped with knowledge on how to work safely with electricity and prevent electrocution.

The online course, Electrocution Hazards Part I Worksite Safety, explores the following topics: 

• Electrical hazards and OSHA standards
• High voltage power lines
• Tools, extension cords and receptacles
• Grounding, continuity and GFCIs
• Lock-out/Tag-out

Estimated time of completion is 45 minutes

A minimum score of 80% is required to pass this course.

After successfully completing the Electrocution Hazards Part I Worksite Safety course, a certificate of completion will be made available for download and printing.
