APERÇU DU COURS

Hazardous energy is prevalent in various forms across a wide array of industries in Canada. The implementation of Lockout and Tagout (LOTO) is crucial to prevent accidental release of such hazardous energy. Lockout and Tagout protocols necessitate that hazardous energy sources be isolated and incapacitated prior to the commencement of maintenance or service work, thereby averting catastrophic injuries and fatalities resulting from unexpected energization. The Lockout/Tagout Training course draws on the CSA standards Z462 – Workplace Electrical Safety and Z460-13 Control of Hazardous Energy – Lockout and Other Methods.

The Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Training course is organized into four sections:

  • Section 1: Roles and Responsibilities in LOTO
  • Section 2: Hazardous Energy Forms
  • Section 3: Formulating LOTO Procedures, and
  • Section 4: Locking Out and Tagging Out Equipment

A final exam will be conducted upon completion to assess your understanding.
