This can lead to minor irritations in the eye and skin or severe injuries, including burns and blindness. As a response to this, OSHA mandates employers to equip workplaces with necessary facilities such as emergency showers and eyewash stations for employees to access immediately while on duty.
The online course on Emergency Eyewash & Shower Use aims to familiarize users with the functionalities of emergency eye washes and showers and the methods to ensure their easy accessibility.
On completing the Emergency Eyewash & Shower Use course, learners should:
- Understand the purpose and usage of emergency eye washes & showers
- Be familiar with the type and temperature of the flushing fluid used in the emergency eyewashes and showers.
- Recognize ways to identify and ensure immediate access to and usage of the stations
