A scrawny kid from Victoria, British Columbia. Nash had none of the athletic advantages typically associated with a two-time NBA MVP. But he mastered something most players never touch: <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the art of deliberate practice<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. Not just repetition, but focused, feedback-driven, pressure-tested skill-building. That same principle isn&#8217;t reserved for elite athletes and concert pianists. It&#8217;s now finding a home in <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/bissafety.ca\/fr\/digital-training-record-management\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">industrial safety training<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Thankfully, Allan Moore doesn\u2019t talk like a corporate consultant. and he speaks about this intentional concept in passionate detsil. He talks like someone who\u2019s been hurt. A former roughneck who became a safety manager in Taiwan by sheer circumstance. He spoke Mandarin, and no one else wanted the job. It\u2019s a systems failure. Moore\u2019s seen workers who aced safety modules panic in real-life emergencies. He\u2019s also watched unremarkable crew members step up and make life-saving decisions. Because they had practiced, deliberately.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">In most workplaces, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/bissafety.ca\/fr\/digital-training-record-management\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">safety training is a hybrid<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. Two-pronged: liability management and content delivery. It\u2019s static. Passive. And in many cases, it ends with a printed certificate. Moore believes that\u2019s a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/bissafety.ca\/fr\/outdated-safety-practices-danger\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">dangerous illusion of preparedness<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cThere\u2019s no feedback loop,\u201d he says. \u201cWe teach compliance. But we don\u2019t teach adaptability. Or judgment. Or what to do when the radio\u2019s out and someone\u2019s bleeding.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">He\u2019s not alone. Across sectors, there\u2019s a growing recognition that <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/bissafety.ca\/fr\/brett-burkard-safety-culture-titan-environmental\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">knowledge without repetition is fragile<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. Memory fades. Stress disrupts recall. Albertan training provider MI Safety uses hybrid systems. They combine online modules with hands-on skill verification. The courses include employer-signed checklists, bringing feedback and repetition into the process. Others are experimenting with VR. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/bissafety.ca\/fr\/ai-workplace-safety-tech-benefits-risks\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Jennifer Lastra is a Navy veteran turned safety-tech entrepreneur<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. She runs a company that uses immersive scenarios to train workers. They&#8217;re trained not just on what to do, but how it feels to do it under pressure. It&#8217;s not theoretical. Lastra\u2019s system targets psychological safety. Split-second decision-making.
