When employees don\u2019t feel heard, respected, or supported, even flawless metrics lose their meaning.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Safety culture doesn\u2019t begin with policies, it begins with people.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That\u2019s something <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/jpagonis\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Johanna Pagonis<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> discovered through her years in the public sector and leadership development. Her expertise wasn\u2019t forged in industrial settings but in the study of human behaviour especially what makes people open up or shut down. The results were striking. Even with top-of-the-line safety programs, when workers are afraid to speak up, the system breaks down. True prevention begins when people feel they can voice concerns freely without fear of judgment or retaliation.<\/p><p>The conversation around safety often fixates on personal protective equipment. Yet <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/bissafety.ca\/fr\/johanna-pagonis-psychological-safety\/\">s\u00e9curit\u00e9 psychologique<\/a><\/strong> is just as critical. Johanna reminds organizations that people don\u2019t crave more rules, they crave understanding. They need leadership that listens with intention and invites vulnerability. When employees trust that honesty won\u2019t cost them opportunities, the entire culture shifts.<\/p><p>Her message is resonating. Public agencies, municipalities, and federal departments across Canada are integrating her leadership programs.
