CA SB553 Workplace Violence Prevention Training

Target Audience: Supervisors and Employees<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

The Essence of CA SB553<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

All employers in CA (excluding facilities protected under Title 8 section 3342, and businesses with 10 or less employees with no public contact) are mandated to:<\/span><\/p>\n

  • Formulate a Workplace Violence Prevention Plan with worker contribution<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Provide training to the entire staff inclusive of your specific Workplace Violence Plan<\/b><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Implementation date: July 1, 2024<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Offer training annually, during hiring, when the WVPP is revised, or new threats emerge<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      To fully comply with CA SB553 regulations, your company\u2019s Workplace Violence Prevention Plan (WVPP) MUST BE INCORPORATED INTO THE TRAINING.\u00a0 <\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

      Participants will be prompted to upload a copy of their WVPP and to acknowledge access and the opportunity to contribute to the WVPP development and execution as necessitated by SB553.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n
