Each module includes sections on safety principles, controls, hazards, and more. During this course, we will examine operating safely in work environments with falling object hazards such as sites with scaffolding, cranes, heavy machinery, and ladders. You will gain knowledge about the principles of gravity acting on falling objects and loads. We will cover how to mitigate falling object risks using the hierarchy of controls. You will learn the application of tool tethering and worksite controls to prevent equipment from falling from heights. We will review the appropriate personal protective equipment for worksites with falling object hazards.
