Each section covers microorganisms, fungi, plants, insects, animals, and more. This course incorporates periodic practice quiz questions to ready trainees for the final written exam included with the course. Alongside the written exam, this course features a checklist for employers to utilize when conducting a practical exam as mandated by OSHA.<\/p>\n<p><b>Estimated Training Length: <\/b>Individual learning and progress speeds vary, hence the duration of this training will differ. However, the estimated time for this training is between 1.5 to 2 hours. <\/p>\n<p><b>Intended Audience: <\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Employees<\/li>\n<li>Supervisors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>While you will need to acquaint yourself with all other relevant federal, state, and local standards, this training covers the following standards:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>CAN\/CSA-Z94.4-18 \u2013 Selection, use, and care for respirators<\/li>\n<li>CAN\/CSA-Z1210-17 \u2013 First aid training for the workplace<\/li>\n<li>CAN\/CSA-Z1220-17 \u2013 First aid kits for the workplace<\/li>\n<li>ANSI\/PSAI Z4.1-2016 \u2013 Sanitation in places of employment<\/li>\n<li>WHMIS G5.1.1 \u2013 Designation of biological agents as hazardous substances<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"title-bar\">    <span style=\"font-size: 18.0px;float: none\">COURSE TOPICS<\/span>    <\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 14.0px\">Course topics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Microorganisms<\/li>\n<li>Fungi<\/li>\n<li>Plants<\/li>\n<li>Insects<\/li>\n<li>Animals\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"title-bar\">    <span style=\"font-size: 18.0px;float: none\">ONLINE COURSE DURATION<\/span>    <\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p style=\"font-size: 14.0px\">Roughly 75 minutes<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 14.0px\"><\/p>\n<div class=\"title-bar\">    <span style=\"font-size: 18.0px;float: none\">PASS MARK<\/span>    <\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 14.0px\">This course requires a pass mark of 80%, and there will be 2 chances to complete the course successfully.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 14.0px\"><\/p>\n<div class=\"title-bar\">    <span style=\"font-size: 18.0px;float: none\">CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION<\/span>    <\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 14.0px\">Upon successful completion of this Biological Hazards (CAN) course, a certificate will be available for download and printing.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This Canada-compliant safety training course is designated for anyone who might come into contact with biological hazards. Included in this training are topics such as microorganisms, fungi, plants, insects, and animals. This course fulfills the classroom requirement for occupational safety training and includes a proficiency checklist that employers can use for a practical evaluation. Upon finishing, trainees can download and print a certificate or wallet card as proof of completing the Biological Hazards training. NOTE: Only an employer can designate an employee as certified. Certification requirements may differ by state or province.
