Some of the most commonly known bloodborne pathogens are syphilis, hepatitis B (HBV), hepatitis C (HCV), and the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). It is important to understand that bloodborne pathogens can be a safety issue in any workplace where there is a potential for contact with blood or other bodily fluids through injuries, needlesticks, or similar incidents. Our Bloodborne Pathogens online course provides comprehensive training to help prevent and control exposure to these pathogens in the workplace.<\/p>\n<p>The Bloodborne Pathogens course is divided into four sections:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Chapter 1: Understanding Bloodborne Pathogens<\/li>\n<li>Chapter 2: Preventing Transmission and Exposure<\/li>\n<li>Chapter 3: Safe Handling of Sharps and Biohazardous Materials<\/li>\n<li>Chapter 4: Dealing with Exposure Incidents<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-size: 14.0px\"><\/p>\n<div class=\"title-bar\"> <span style=\"font-size: 18.0px;float: none\">COURSE TOPICS<\/span> <\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 14.0px\"><span style=\"font-size: 14.0px;text-align: left;float: none\">To effectively prevent exposure to bloodborne pathogens, it is vital to understand their different types, how to prevent them, and the procedures for proper clean-up to avoid accidental contraction. By the end of the Bloodborne Pathogens course, you should be able to:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-size: 14.0px\">\n<li><span>Define what bloodborne pathogens are<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Identify common infections and their symptoms<\/li>\n<li>Detect the presence of bloodborne pathogens in the workplace<\/li>\n<li>Describe the transmission of bloodborne pathogens<\/li>\n<li>Identify the controls used in engineering and administration to prevent exposure to bloodborne pathogens<\/li>\n<li>Outline the procedures to be followed in case of exposure<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"title-bar\"> <span style=\"font-size: 18.0px;float: none\">ONLINE COURSE DURATION<\/span> <\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p style=\"font-size: 14.0px\"><span style=\"font-size: 14.0px;float: none\">Approximately 60 minutes<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"title-bar\"> <span style=\"font-size: 18.0px;float: none\">PASS MARK<\/span> <\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 14.0px\"><span style=\"font-size: 14.0px;float: none\">A score of 80% is required to pass the Bloodborne Pathogens online course and obtain a certificate of completion. If the pass mark is not achieved, the course can be repeated twice.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 14.0px\"><\/p>\n<div class=\"title-bar\"> <span style=\"font-size: 18.0px;float: none\">CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION<\/span> <\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 14.0px\"><span style=\"font-size: 14.0px;float: none\">Upon successful completion of this online course, a certificate
