This installment of our video series will guide you in identifying and eliminating any prejudices or preconceived ideas that could potentially hinder your ability to engage in a level-headed discussion. A surprising fact about pandas is also shared, which could help you steer clear of disaster. Enjoy!<\/p>\n<p><b>Active Listening in Conflict De-Escalation Techniques<\/b> \u2013 Mastering the art of listening to others is arguably the most crucial technique for de-escalating conflicts. This video educates you on what active listening entails, and also what it does <i>not<\/i> involve, with a few humorous examples to boot. As listening involves non-verbal cues, we have incorporated other non-verbal techniques as well. This video is so jam-packed with information, you might be left wondering how it didn&#8217;t burst at the seams! (Spoiler alert: we didn&#8217;t have the budget for that kind of special effect.) Enjoy!<\/p>\n<p><b>Fostering a Solution Mindset in Conflict De-Escalation Techniques<\/b> \u2013 One approach to conflict is to shout and argue until the opposition gives up or escapes. A more productive and pleasant strategy is to concentrate on finding solutions to the problem at hand. This video instructs you on how to adopt the latter approach. It also demonstrates the outcome when a solution-oriented mindset is disregarded in favor of anger and insults.
