It is crucial for a driver to explain an exception, as failure to do so might lead to a violation, giving the impression of a breach of rules. Proper use and correct identification of exceptions can result in a decrease in violations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">On completion of this Hours of Service Exceptions course, drivers will be equipped to:     <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Recognize which drivers are allowed to use an hours-of-service exception<\/li>\n<li>Explain what an exception absolves a driver from<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"title-bar\"><b>COURSE TOPICS<\/b><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><b>The online Hours of Service: Exceptions course encompasses the following topics:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Air-Mile Radius Short-Haul<\/li>\n<li>16-Hour (&#8220;big day&#8221;)<\/li>\n<li>Split-Sleeper Berth<\/li>\n<li>Adverse Driving Conditions<\/li>\n<li>Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs)<\/li>\n<li>Agricultural Operations<\/li>\n<li>Personal Conveyance<\/li>\n<li>Additional Exceptions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"title-bar\"><b>ONLINE COURSE DURATION<\/b><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Approximately 35 minutes<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"title-bar\"><b>PASS MARK<br \/><\/b><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Testing conducted within this online course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A score of 80% must be achieved in order to pass this course. The course can be taken three times in attempts to achieve the pass mark. Printable resources are available in the form of a comprehensive student manual.
