The objective of this e-learning course is to foster safe excavation practices and attitudes. It offers comprehensive insights into the process of safe excavation as a part of the ground disturbance process. The course covers a wide range of topics including soil factors, sloping, benching, scaling, trimming, temporary protective structures, alternatives, worker access, and temporary crossing ramps. The course ultimately aims to equip learners with the necessary knowledge to plan and carry out safe excavations in accordance with federal and provincial\/state regulations, acts, and industry best practices.<\/p>\n
