Section 382.601(b)(12) of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs) compels motor carriers to furnish drivers with informational materials that illuminate the Clearinghouse mandates and the employer\u2019s strategies and procedures to satisfy these mandates. This includes the categories of personal data collected and stored within the Clearinghouse database.<\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;Drug &amp; Alcohol Clearinghouse: What Drivers Need to Know&#8221; course is structured to inform drivers, who are subject to FMCSA DOT drug and alcohol tests, about Clearinghouse mandates. Drivers will comprehend what information is supplied to the Clearinghouse, the procedure to rectify inaccurate data in the system, and their obligations regarding granting consent to the employer for Clearinghouse queries.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"title-bar\"><b>COURSE TOPICS<\/b><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>This digital Drug &amp; Alcohol Clearinghouse: What Drivers Need to Know course encompasses the following topics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What is the Clearinghouse and Who Administers the Information?<\/li>\n<li>The Reason for its Establishment?<\/li>\n<li>Which Drivers are Impacted?<\/li>\n<li>Data &amp; Data Contributors<\/li>\n<li>How to safely maneuver aerial lifts<\/li>\n<li>Queries &amp; Consent<\/li>\n<li>Grounds to Contest Clearinghouse Data<\/li>\n<li>Electronic Communication from the Clearinghouse<\/li>\n<li>Provide Consent to Employer for a Comprehensive Query<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><br \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Clarify what kinds of information are forwarded to the Clearinghouse<\/li>\n<li>Determine when a driver needs a Clearinghouse account to give consent for a query<\/li>\n<li>Explain the ramifications of refusing consent for Clearinghouse queries<\/li>\n<li>Identify when to alert current employers of violations<\/li>\n<li>Recognize how to dispute erroneous information reported on a Clearinghouse record<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"title-bar\"><b>ONLINE COURSE LENGTH<\/b><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Approximately 30 minutes<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"title-bar\"><b>PASS MARK<\/b><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>To pass this course, a score of 80% must be achieved.
