Training on hazard identification and classification is meant to equip workers with the knowledge they need to identify and evade hazardous chemicals. The Hazardous Chemical Information course will educate students about everything from the constituents of a hazardous chemical information system to the Internationally Unified System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS) to the application of Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) and chemical labels for hazard readiness or exposure response. Perfect for all employees who might be exposed to hazardous chemicals.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"title-bar\"><b>COURSE TOPICS<\/b><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>This online Hazardous Chemical Information course covers the following topics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hazardous Chemical Information<\/li>\n<li>GHS<\/li>\n<li>Hazards<\/li>\n<li>Responsibilities<\/li>\n<li>Labels<\/li>\n<li>Safety Data Sheets (SDSs)<\/li>\n<li>Information and Training<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>By the end of this course, you will be able to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Explain the importance of a hazardous chemical information program<\/li>\n<li>Identify to whom hazardous chemical information is relevant<\/li>\n<li>Explain the four fundamental elements of a hazardous chemical information program<\/li>\n<li>Understand the significance of the Internationally Unified System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS)<\/li>\n<li>Identify physical and health hazards of chemicals<\/li>\n<li>Enumerate the items that should be included in a hazardous chemical inventory<\/li>\n<li>Identify what should be included in the written hazardous chemical information program<\/li>\n<li>Identify where and how hazard warning labels must be used<\/li>\n<li>Recognize the information contained in a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and how it is used and maintained in the workplace<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"title-bar\"><b>ONLINE COURSE DURATION<\/b><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Approximately 45 minutes<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"title-bar\"><b>PASS MARK<\/b><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Testing conducted throughout this online course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to pass this course. The course is able to be taken three times in efforts to achieve the pass mark. Printable resources are available in the form of a comprehensive student manual.
