This can present grave issues for both the employees and their employers. The purpose of Hazard Communication (HazCom) training is to equip workers with the necessary knowledge to identify and handle hazardous chemicals safely. The Hazard Communication for California course provides a comprehensive guide to Proposition 65, federal and state HazCom standards, and the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS). It also instructs on the effective use of Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) and chemical labels for hazard preparedness and management. This course is tailored for all California employees.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"title-bar\"><b>COURSE TOPICS<\/b><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The online Hazard Communication for California course encompasses the following subjects:\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>HazCom Standard<\/li>\n<li>GHS\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Hazards\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Labels<\/li>\n<li>Pictograms<\/li>\n<li>Safety Data Sheets (SDSs)<\/li>\n<li>Information and Training<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify the objectives of the HazCom Standard<\/li>\n<li>Determine who falls under the HazCom Standard<\/li>\n<li>Understand the goals of the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS)<\/li>\n<li>Describe how the HazCom Standard interfaces with the GHS<\/li>\n<li>Identify the details outlined in a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and how it is utilized and maintained in the workplace<\/li>\n<li>Enumerate the components of the HazCom Standard training program<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"title-bar\"><b>ONLINE COURSE DURATION<\/b><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Estimated at 30 minutes<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"title-bar\"><b>PASS MARK<\/b><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>This online course includes numerous tests designed to reinforce the information provided. A score of 80% is required to pass this course. Participants have the opportunity to take the course three times to achieve the pass mark.
